Dictador Solera Distillery Icon Reserve 20-Year

A really flavor heavy experience for me. Good, but a bit too much for my personal liking. The anis smell made the first impression that this was in fact a cheap knockoff. However on closer examination it revealed its good qualities.

I'm not expert yet but this bottle was disappointment for me. I expected more from 20 years rum. Taste contains very strong coffee/oak tones with harsh finish. Maybe my expectations were high. Marketing of this bottle is higher than real taste.

...aber auch nicht wirklich gut ist dieser Tropfen aus dem Hause Dictador. Nicht süss, da kein Zucker beigesetzt und mit einem relativ langen Nachgeschmack.

Little bad surprice. For me same coffee smell like Dictador 20. Taste little bit stronger and more dry than Dictador 12. For me better choice Dictador 12.

... finden sich in diesem sehr würzigen Rhum die an Muskat oder Pfeffer erinnern.

How can anyone rate this a 2???? Even for a Solera? Have you never tried Bacardi?

Good rum for a Solera. Solid 6.5. Good flavor profile. Lots of Vanilla, some coffee, chocolate and hints of clove. Smooth and sippable. Here is where it falls just short. This is a Solera, which means it is NOT 20 YEARS OLD! It might be only 5% 20 year old rum. Thin, not the best mouth feel. Light, no alcohol punch. Finish is way too short like all Solera system rum. Overpriced.

Strong coffee notes. Short finish. Very smooth. Sweet. Reminds me of Diplomatico. Cool bottle. Feels like it’s dosed, but I didn’t dig much into it. This is a good rum for casual sipping if you enjoy a sweeter style over dry rum.

Καλό, γλυκό, βαρύ, με έντονη επίγευση και ..... "ιδιαίτερα καπνιστό τελείωμα " ... δε ξέρω αν είναι αυτό που με χάλασε ή αν το ότι οι υπόλοιποι της παρέας το βρήκαν κακό και έτσι με επηρέασαν !!!!! σίγουρα όμως στα 55€ θα αγόραζα κάτι άλλο !!!! Άρα το 6,5 προς 7 που θα έπαιρνε καθαρά από την γεύση , γίνεται ένα καθαρό 6αρι λόγο της κακής σχέσης ποιότητας τιμής !!!!! πολλές καλλίτερες επιλογές σε αυτήν την τιμή !!!!!!
