You should try this Dictador 12 on the ice, it is better this way IMO. For me there is too much coffe and oak tones.
Anyway this is one of the better products from Colombia which owned investors from Poland ;-)
This very smooth rum is well-balanced. Not too sweet, one might even say a bit dry.
A lovely oak smokiness with honey, spices, coffee and some dry fruit.
Has a nice finish and aftertaste.
I personally recommend this as one of the starter rums and have noted that so far the Dictador 12 has pleased all whisky drinkers that I know. Combine this with the fact that this rum comes in one of the best looking bottles and I would categorize this rum as an ideal gift!

un vrai sentiment de café et du coup on se demande d'où vient ce parfum...
sinon, très plaisant, rond et gourmand...
un de mes premier achat pour ma "cave", que je consomme toujour avec plaisir meme si ce n'est pas le plus grand des rhums

...but inside is a bit chemical aftertaste and harshness. I expected something more (according bottle).Not cold is even worse.

Sugar: 0 to 5 gpl. This rum smelled good but it was too harsh for my liking. Too much tobacco and oak for me. I also detected a chemical aftertaste. As I don't like rum with ice, I finished the bottle by mixing it with eggnog at Christmas. I would not buy this again as the price was too high for the taste.

denne rom er afviger fra mængden, med sin ret så dominerende næse og smag af tobak. herudover opleves karamel og en lille tilpas tørhed. sjov og anderledes.

Au nez sa sent le tiramisu, le gateau opera, En bouche leggeremen vanille, chocolat, cafe, et surtout reglisse, il est beaucoup moin fort en charpente et en gout franc que sont grand frere le 20ans maintenant il me parait ideal en fin de repas derrier un cafe

Amazing nose on this one. Was very smooth on the rocks. Sampled it at the rum club in Portland. I'd highly recommend this to any rum fans.

This is a great into for those curious about sipping rums, good price, nice depth of flavors with a smooth finish. On the sweeter side.
I intend to always keep a bottle in the collection for those times I don't want to be challenged, like a comfort food.

Two shots ahead of me. One 12 and one 20 y.o. Both are fine. Both are well distilled rums. But which is better? Sipping from 12, then from 20. 20 appears to have more rounded taste. But 12 is more sharp. I like those, but here? Really can't decide, maybe 20 is better by tiny little bit?
