Cruzan Mango

Tastes of candy. Week alcohol. Just a flavor to add to a cocktail.

Tasted at Firewater Grill tiki bar on 8-31-24. Pours clear. Tropical fruit aroma of some sort- orange and passion? Could this be mango? Very sugary sweet with an unusual chemical off flavor at the end.

Notes: this reminds me of the wine coolers of the late 80s, specifically the "tropical" flavor.
If gifted a bottle of this, I'd mix it with Coca Cola on ice and drink from a stadium cup.

I prefer Cruzan rums in general. I got this Cruzan Mango rum not being sure what to do with it. It's not bad by itself or on the rocks. One summer day I decided to try it in a store brand lemon lime soda over ice. It was light and refreshing! It tastes more like apricots to me. I've had people who don't like mango tell me they liked it with the lemon lime soda. It's now my go to summer drink.

This is a go to for a cheap, easy summer rum punch. I mix it with Pineapple/Coconut sparkling water. A splash of grenadine can be added to give it a more tropical look, but it is good without it as well.

Mango and Rum are two infinitely creative combinations. Flavourful and sweet without being overpowering or syrup-like in texture. Goes well with soda, in daiquiris, mojitos, or more complex cocktails, and adds flair to a Blue Hawaiian or Hurricane. About as good as it gets as a flavoured white rum for it's price point.

Good by itself honestly. It’s not really a rum that you would drink if you are looking for a sipping rum. But if you are looking to get drunk and have something that tastes nice can’t go wrong.

No rum flavour, just sweet artificial mango. Easily sipped but not what I look for. I will not be looking for another bottle.

It's sweet, yes. The alcohol taste nearly disappears when mixed with OJ. But it's good and it gets you drunk and it's smooth and sweet enough to drink from the bottle, or over ice with no mixer. However I am someone who actually enjoys the burn of hard liquor

Single use. Makes a great rum punch. Not uses for anything else.
