Colore caramellato, molto dolce ma anche gradevole
nice on ice on a patio, in the canary islands where it comes from (or anywhere else). very good for what it is.
very sweet and honey tasting, as per its name.
Not a real rum. More a kind of liquor.
Very sweet taste, good as a digestif/dessert.
I prefer drinking it at a very low temperature or on the rocks.
OK... this is NOT Rum, but that's alright. It's a sweet, tasty rum liqueur. Translated as honey rum, Santa Cruz Ron Miel is bottled at 20%ABV, and carries its own GI, or "Denominación Geográfica," recognized by the EU. By law Ron Miel must be bottled between 20-30% and contain at least 2% natural bee honey. Visitors to Tenerife might know it as a sweet chilled drink that might come to your table with the bill, though I'm told it was originally more of a cold remedy.
The Santa Cruz Ronmiel rating suffers from the category more than anything. As a sweet digestif it's very pleasant, and gets a bonus for the rum base. The six bottle rating I'm giving it would be a one if judging it as a rum, but for what it is, it's pretty good. A little spicy, very sweet with a definite nose and taste of honey. Its' worth having in the collection as long as you realize what you're buying.
Here is the sweetness the prior impression. Not much of any other taste. As a liquid dessert OK.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Tastes just like liquid honey , dont even smell or taste of rum, but not bad as a party drink.
