Visited the La Mauny distillery while in Martinique. Easily the best distillery tour which ended with a full open bar. La Mauny Vieux was priced at EUR 29.90 at the distillery. Pretty nice packaging, bottle and label design. Bright golden color. Traditional super dry Rhum Agricole flavors and plenty of citrus over powered by very strong oak. A lot of burn at the end due to being so dry. Rhum Agricole lovers can easily add 2 points to my score.

Quite a complex taste, sharp but very diverse. A little bitter in the finish.

It’s way too harsh for me. I could not finish my glass.

Starts with a very complex nose, letting you hoping for a lot.
Then the taste comes a bit harsh, a bit desapointing.
