Cockspur V.S.O.R.

I managed to pick a bottle of this up in Barbados after recommendation from a bar worker after him telling me to try it.

This is a sipper a good one too. Its not overlly sweet and a tad dry but this is a nice rum to own. You could mix this wirh coke and not be annoyed to be honest it is a versatile drink

Really a good value rum. Semi-sweet and not as dry as other bajan rums. There is a sherry taste and smell which would normally put me right off but it works for me in this rum. It is a bit thin and lacks a bit of character but for a lower priced rum it really is worth a try if you can find it.

I bought this bottle on a whim after enjoying the Cockspur Fine strictly as a mixing rum. Well, I found one of my new favorite low-cost Bajan sippers! I'll definitely be picking up another couple bottles of this next time I see it, since I'm using both for cocktails and for sipping.

I picked a bottle up when I was in Barbados, where it is bottled at 43%. Full of spicy, oaky fruit. Nice and dry. Although I give this a 7, this is not really my style of rum as I prefer sweeter fruit, but the dryness makes a welcome change from time to time.
