This one is a must in my cabniet.
The taste is perhaps not so much rum.. But the chocolate taste is superb.. And the coffe goes right by it´s side..
okay, the cacao notes are very good. and if you don´t know it, it is a good spiced rum. but i can tell you, this rum contains very much sugar! so keep your hands on, if it doesn´t matter. or take it bakc, if you dislike sweet rums! i the mouth you taste a creamy rum, almost no sharpness. in the aftertaste the cacao comes and runs through your mouth! tasty!
this is a well done hybrid between a rum and a liqueur. nice cacao notes. try subbing this in for vodka in a white russian.
The rum is quite boozy with a lot of young alcohol coming through.

A very interesting bottling. Criollo Cacao Room consists of both pot and column distilled molasses 3-6 years old, infused with Criollo cacao beans.
Nose; A punch from the alcohol at first but it calms down and softens considerably after about 30 minutes in the glass. Sweet vanilla, mashed banana, arrak, chocolate and coconut.
Palate; Soft and rich taste of vanilla, dark chocolate, leather, arrak,oak, pepper and coffee. Yum!
Finish; A warming and dry finish where a nice touch of smoke suddenly appears. Cinnamon takes place along with cacao, chocolate and it's just enough sweet.
Overall; A very interesting rum! It is well balanced, rich and not too sweet.
