I find this VSOP too sharp and burny, which beats most of the taste.

It was pleasent. Want to try it again to talk more about it. I'm thinking of buying a bottle.

Tasted at Laka Lono on 2/13/22. Rich amber color. Caramel aroma. Not very agricole. Stick candy and honey. Tart finish. A hot rum.

Clement was my first rum agricole and I have to say I was surprised it was not more different from my molasses distillate rums. While it certainly has that earthy note that I guess some people call grass, didn't seem like grass to me but something earthy, it was also fairly middle of the road to me.

I'm sure others would express that my palette is not refined enough, but my comments here are for others early in their rum journey that are in my position. I did a side by side at home with my Plantation 5 year and outside of the earthy note which was mild in the Clement, they seemed similar.

Readily available and affordable Rum that adds a great taste dimension to a Mai Tai. Distinct earth tones that some people love and others not so much.

Très bon rhum en punch, mais plutôt classique en dégustation.

I love Clement rum style. Perfect to close the meal. Very well balanced with a perfect finish. A must have as a regular in every cabinet for me.

First agricole that I recall having and I am thoroughly surprised and impressed. Starts smokey and peaty but finishes like grape juice. Basically it blew my mind as I did not imagine this was possible to do with rum. Now I have to figure out how to tell my family that this year's tropical vacation will be in Martinique?!?

tasted better agricoles aged 4 years, it s dry, very light colour and i feel too much alcohol when i sniff it, very wineish flavor, put it near a HSE VSOP and you ll see a big difference ! the Clement XO (6 years old) is much better for my taste ... but ok, it s very dry and give some vanilla, oak, i ll give it a 7 !
