Full of flavor. It has very rich and complex taste, with dark chocolate, vanilla and barrel flavor.
It was not available in my country now but could buy from France.

The complexity and aroma offered in this way is simply sensational. Dark roasted aromas, however, by no means in the bitter direction but wonderfully balanced with coffee, black chocolate, fine toffee note and very elegant wood structure. A must for the rum fan.....

Rum tasting with my good old buddy in Amsterdam during the global lockdown continued onwards with Zapatera Gran Reserva 1989. Very nice high end and old school bottle and label design. Bright golden color. Super smooth toffee and chocolate to your nose and palate when neat sipped. Subliminal ending. Truly a masterpiece Nicaraguan Rum.
