Matugga Golden

Taste full of fruit but somehow unpleasant. There is also wood, spicyness. Overall it tastes like bad fruit brandy

Chemical aroma. Taste is sweet but weak, almost like mixed with water. Short not nice aftertaste.

Nosing
Caramel , pear, mango ,oak & figs

Tasting
Water , creme brulee , light notes of orange

This is an average aged rum but very fruity . My palette can handle it but imagine some hate it .

Caramel, strong smoke, weird weird aftertastes. And yes on the bad whiskey side of things. From 24 rums with S.

lukter litt røyk. i smaken kjennes også røyk blandet med noe ubestemmelig søtt. Kort ettersmak.

African commodities being processed in England into a premium rum. This is certainly a special story, so I was very interested in trying this one. It is not a bad beginning from Matugga.

Nose: Glazed lemons, honey and syrup
Taste: Rich caramel, vanilla and a slight peppery tingle in the background
Overall: This is not a bad rum by any means. The backstory for this rum is more interesting than the rum itself, but there is hope for the future for Matugga rum.

Doft av rök, smakar sött och kryddigt med en ton av rök. Kort eftersmak.

A different rum, produced with african grown cane. The color is light golden with a greenish hue.
Nose: peppery, a bit like tequila, with accidic citrus notes and a hint of tar.
Taste: medium body with the same notes found in the nose but there’s also a subtle sweetness present in the background reminding me of heavy marmelade. The finish lingers with slightly smokey oak and tobacco. Once you get used to the profile, it’s not bad.

simply not what I'm looking for. thought it was watered down and weak. Adding mix just dilutes it further. I don't believe the value warrants the purchase.

Smells like pear and cardboard. Tastes like pear and crappy brandy. Not much to it, but it isn't that great. I've also had a lot worse so I will guve it the benefit of the doubt and go 6 because of its strange sting.
