molasses. dry rum.
i´ve tried this rum in berlin directly from alexander kong from worthy park. great guy, great rum.
typical jamaica notes. fruit. pepper. creamy, mild. i made it very warm in my hand, so do this too, if you want the real taste! ;)
if i understood it right, they will relaunch it under worthy park label.
Úžasná vůně. Na 4-letý rum velmi dobrá chuť - tropické ovoce. Rum, který si rád pořídím. Ideální do koktejlu.
Nose: dirt, tar and toffee
Palet: grapes, candyfloss with a oily feel and a medium fresh burn
Great choise. Pure tasty rum!!

This Rum is stored in 4 years and 40% strong. It feels mature with some body and ii is very much Jamaica style Rum. Okay Rum!
For the price I was expecting this to be purely a mixer. However the 4 years aging did ther job. Its perfectly fine to sip on its own and be enjoyable. It can't beat sippers in the much higher price range, but its a good experiece. Will be seeking out more Worthy Park Estate rums!
This rum is 100% pot still from molasses, aged for 4 years in american whiskey barrels.
I got the previous "Worthy Park Gold" bottling, but the rum is the same.
Great in punches, fruit cocktails and tiki.
It's very interesting to sip neat, because it reminds more a Highland Scotch than a classical aged rum.
4 (real) years are an optimal age because with a longer barrel time we will lose the unique taste and aromas from Jamaica.
A 5.0 (at the time of my review) is really not doing this rum just. A very well balanced rum with a little character of its own. When it would have come from any other country you would call it an ester-rich rum but being Jamaican it is actually rather mild on esters; they are certainly there but this is not Hampden, this is Worthy Park!
On the nose I get alcohol first (let it rest for a while) but then the sweetness of hot apple sauce hits me, along with other fruits like banana and passion fruit. It is slightly sourish in a pleasant way with floral notes.
On the palate it remains very fruity and floral, very sweet for a dry rum, with some licorice and other candy in there. A little vanilla and light woody tones are in the mix as well. Maybe the sweetest dry rum I ever tasted till now. It goes down very pleasant with a medium to long aftertaste that has a bit more wood (more sweet than bitter) to it.
A really nice rum that invites me to explore Worthy Park a bit more.
Rich and full of Jamaican funk.
"As a sipping rum the this offers quite a nice experience."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

A must have in a bar ... I love it in an old fashioned beautiful Jamaican funk from a very young rum ...
