Opthimus Port Finish 25-Year

It's my favorite rum for now. It has longest aftertaste from all that i tried: light, perfectly balanced, a little sweet from porto. I recommend.

Found great rum bar at Venetian Hotel. Perfect timing after Trade show for Opthimus flight. Started with 25 port, my kind of rum dark full bodied slightly sweet with a nice port finish highly recommended.

great port aftertaste, very enjoyable, not the most complex rum but for those like me who enjoy a good port this rum is for u.

This rum has typical Oliver&Oliver signature which I like 😍 Aroma is strong with wood, raisins and fruit tones. Taste is sweet, smooth, warm and very complex. Raisin, plum, forest fruit, peach oak and many other notes you will discover with every sipp. Aftertaste is longer and pleasant. The aging in Porto barrels is adding a nice finish finish. 0.5 point better than standard 25y, not so sweet like Whisky finish.

Simply said: If you imagined the flavor of adding a good port to a good rum and put it in a pretty bottle. As a port fan I like this rum because it harmoniously does just that. Bit pricey but it checks my boxes. After dinner I now have two choices. Port alone or this. Both taste quite fine. My bottle is 362 of 1000 2020.

On the nose: not too overwhelming nor -powering.

The taste is not too sweet as you'd expect.
Reminds me of the Puntacana XOX and the Quorhum 30 cask strength.

I really like this one. Belongs on the top shelf.

Ce rhum est superbe même si je préfère le whisky finish note 9.6 et le classique note 9.5.superbe rhum doux d Oliver Oliver. J adore même si le Porto finish est tres présent. Si vous aimez c est le top de la gamme. Meilleur que le puntacana xox qui a moins de longueur.

Slightly redder than it's cousins.
Wine aging very evident in the nose.
Drinks incredibly smooth.
Initial sip is sweet and fruity which gives way to a very pleasant tang, followed by a slow but steady progression into the deep port flavor.

Highly recommend.
