Plantation Pineapple Stiggin's Fancy

On my hunt for the perfect sipping rum I came across this and was intrigued at how it was make. Pineapple rinds marinating in aged dark rum and the pineapple meat marinating in there white rum. Next the two rums join forces togeather to bring a not to overly sweet rum with pernonced pineapple under tones. What makes this rum great is you don't have that fake syrupy pineapple flavor you've come to expect with favored runs.
Unfortunately, for me, this is not a sipper. It carries a little harshness when by its self.
This is a rum a keep in the rotation and use it to make an old fashioned. Crazy, yes, but delicious.

Plantation Pineapple je ananasový rum vytvořený infuzí a macerací odrůdy zralých Queen Victoria ananasů do Plantation Original Dark. Macerace probíhá po dobu 3 měsíců. Tento macerát se následně ještě jednou destiluje, čímž vznikne vynikající, velmi jemný ne moc sladký, přírodně aromatizovaný rum.
Alkohol: 40 %
Původ: Trinidad a Tobago
Aroma: Hutná vůně, přijde mi jako pečený ananas. Karamel, čokoláda, kůže, pichlavost ananasové šťávy, čerstvě upečená bábovka, rumová tresť, rumové pralinky. Velmi originální, neotřelé, přitom ale stále rumové aroma. (90 b)
Chuť: Čekal jsem rumového slaďouše, ale tento rum je jen lehce nasládlý. Pečené ovoce, dotek těžší ananasové chuti, ananas v rumu, med, opálené dřevo, karamel. (86 b)
Body: 88/100
Shrnutí: Novinka od Plantation nemohla uniknout mé pozornosti, jde o zajímavý ochucený rum, který můžu doporučit, nejde o žádné babské pití, jak by se mohlo zdát.

This is awsome experiment and now the recipe has been changed it delivers . Technicaly not a full on rum as too much added stuff but an incredible different artisanal type of rum

This is something extraordinary,in Europe very rare bottle. Hopefully we will get more of those.Definitely it is worth of trying.The aroma is just nice,the taste is not so sweet as aroma.

Un buon prodotto concepito per i cocktail in modo da dare un sapore un po esotico all'ananas alle vostre creazioni. Particolare, si può bere anche liscio ma manca un po di invecchiamento.

I'm not a big fan for flavored rums, but this one is different. The taste of pineapple is genuine, not artificial like other rums. Quite smooth and flavorful, without being overpowering. A great sipping rum all by itself, or with mixed drinks.

Ein Rum der nach Ananas schmeckt, ist mal was anderes. Der Geschmach ist toll, nicht für jeden Tag.
Der Rum ist recht süss, hat aber noch eine starke alkoholische Note.
