Den är en smula "stickig", dock på ett positivt sätt. Men ha inte för bråttom. Ett gott råd är att låta den stå en god stund. Det tjänar den verkligen på:-)!!!
Sød duft af ananas. Der kan også anes kokos.
Lidt kraftig smag, som hurtigt går over i sødme.
Svag eftersmag. Dog hænger tørhed og lidt styrke tilbage i munden.
Den har godt af at stå lidt inden man drikker den
As mentioned in other reviews, Stiggins is a character in Charles Dickens' "Pickwick Papers", but what others fail to tell you is how the Rev Stiggins preferred to take his pineapple rum: warm, with a splash of boiling water, with three lumps of sugar.
I tried this neat, and the flavor was good, but mostly of pineapple rind, not the sweet pineapple. I tried it on the rocks and wasn't much of fan. Although it tapered the rind flavor, it still didn't seem right. After reading about Rev Stiggins' preference, below is the best way to server:
I boiled a small saucer pan of water. Placing one sugar cube (raw cut cane sugar) in a glass, I poured three teaspoons of boiling water over the sugar cube and melted it down. Then, I added 1.5 oz of Plantation Pineapple and stirred. With the burner off, I place the glass in the left over water in the saucer and heated for 30 seconds.
And my friends... it was the most delicious warmed rum I had ever tasted! Make sure to breath in the warmth and aroma, and then exhale when sipping. I highly recommend!
Ikke smagt. .
I have gone throught multiple bottles of this product before it had actually came into my market and have never really bothered researching it but it is so exciting to be able to actually purchase this locally. Now onto the rum the color is has a nice almost chocolate like color and aromatics hit me as soon as I open the bottle not sugar, sweet, bright pineapple but earthy, woody pineapple. There is no more a sweet flavor that what you would expect from a quality aged rum.
This has a strong citrus taste and goes well with mixing or sipping on the rocks is my choice. Great product and the price is ok if you can find it for $30 or below.
This rum looks like a high end mixer. As a sipper, it tastes both woody and of course fruity, very decent, but as far as sipping goes the XO is smoother, several notches above and does not cost that much more.
Pineapple lovers rejoice! Not to be mixed, just enjoyed, very clean finish.
Very sweet but doesn't taste entirely like pineapple. smells like pineapple.
The nose is sweet but not overly so.
"Smells very much of fresh pineapple as opposed to sweetened tinned pineapple."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Every Plantation rum I have tried has been a great experience except for this one. It's not horrible if you mix it with another Plantation rum, but drunk straight, it's as though they've taken an OK aged dark rum and tried as best as they could to infuse some natural pineapple into it. It's really not drinkable neat.
Something came up short in the process. They must have made a huge batch, found out the mistake too late, and had to bring it to market to recoup their costs.
