Plantation Pineapple Stiggin's Fancy

The pineapple flavor is very subtle. Works well as an aperitif, but works better in cocktails.
You will think this is a sweet rum but is not it tastes a bit bitter neat.

Bought it as a first real rum (let's leave the "rum like" stuff back on the shelf) to accompany cigars and it did not disappoint. A good backstory pretty much always get's me and get's the fantasy going and with this rum, Plantation achieved just that. The Pineaapple takes you to the warmth of the Caribbean, perfect for an autumn escape. I like it with two ice cubes but it works wonders in a cocktail as as well (should try and mix it with coconut), it's sweet but not overpowering. Would recommend and will buy again!

The pineapple is a subtle accent on a dark and rich rum.

Interesting rum. Quite enjoyed it. Went well with a drop of lemonade. yes it is quite pinappley

It truly is a great dessert rum and the best, its all natural flavors.

Ananas 🍍, etwas Kokosnuss.
Pina Colada.
Leider auch leicht metallisch, kann aber auch von der Ananas sein.
Insgesamt schon lecker.

This rum looks like a high end mixer. As a sipper, it tastes both woody and of course fruity, very decent, but as far as sipping goes the XO is smoother, several notches above and does not cost that much more.

Another beautiful achievement of Plantation and I agree with some comment : Easy to sip your way through half a bottle before you realize that you only have half a bottle left....

I have had every pineapple rum I could get my hands on here in Australia and this was the best of them... not a massive accomplishment as the whole category is mostly swill although to be fair the amount I can get my hands on is small maybe we just import the bad ones. I do like this rum but it definitely doesn't live up to the standards of the rest of plantation's line up
