Does not taste like rhum. Of course it really is a fine agricole. But my mouth disagrees. It's entirely possible my palate is not advanced enough for this, but I could swear it has the body of a quality cognac rather than anything out of the caribbean. Not for me, but if you drink daily and are looking for something that pushes the end-user's definition of rhum, by all means.
Color : Dark amber
Flavour : Caramel and summer fruits like apricot , some spicy notes hold together with oak flavour
Palate : Dry, subtle
A nice classic rum
I certainly didn't hate this, but I did expect a bit more out of it. Easily the most impressive thing about this rhum is the packaging, which I assume is what gives it its price. The screw cap is a solid chunk of metal!
It unfortunately lacks character throughout. There isn't much nose to this. The pallet is dry, spicy, with a hint of dry apricot. It's missing a rich, lingering finish. The color is nice.
It was pretty to look at, but I won't be buying this again.
Quiet possibly my palate is not ready for this RUM... I was totally disappointment in the taste. I did not leave a pleasant aftertaste.
Color : Dark amber, gold
Flavour : Caramel toffie, white chocolate, bananas
Palate : Little dry, with fruity finish.
Love connection with cuban cigars.
One of the best rhums I have ever tried
I thought I'd try a bottle since I really like the Clement XO. The XO is MUCH better imho.
This has a nice agricole scent to it, but lacks the sweetness of the XO. Sugarcane, almonds, bourbon, and oak. Taste follows the nose.
It's a good rum,but not worth ~$100 (my rating does NOT factor in the price). I actually prefer the Clement 10 Year to this.
Un excellent rhum, un de mes préférés chez Clément
According to what I have read online this is rum is a blend of the best vintages of the last 15 years. The aroma in the bottle is clean and attractive. I cannot give a more definitive description. Suffice to say I like it. The flavor is outstanding. A dry rum with a hint of sweetness that quickly gives way to a distinct oakiness that is not bitter at all. The warmth of the rum spreads throughout and settles delightfully in the throat for a rather lengthy stay. Slowly fading while the tounge tingles. This is Clement's top-of-the-line rum and it is worth every penny. The bottle is quite fancy with gold leaf lettering on the front, a glass etched illustration of the "Habitation Clement - XVIII Siecle", and a screw top made from a heavy metal.
Woody and smokey in the nose,on the tongue nearly not spicey and round. The taste is not too much strong with a bit of wood and vanilla. In fact, the taste is very very special
I think like most clément (without tasting the xo) , spicey and not too sweet.
I bought it for 75 €, normally in the shop for 95€. But for the 75€ ok.
As i am still an amateur, i think I have to wait a bit, till my taste is getting more experienced.
Bottle is such a beauty
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
