Not a sipper or on the rocks.
No complexity what so ever, needs a mixer.
Spend a little bit more and get something nicer.
This rum was named Best Rum in 2012 and was Chairman's awarded in New York. The world discovered my favorite rum of ots class then. It's replacement 8 year old reserve by Campari is DOES NOT COMPARE to the Reserve Blend's balanced colour, woody, vanilla and hits of coffee notes.
I miss this product very much and would love to find it.
Awesomely smooth. Got that funky Jamaican Sour flavour that is well known with appleton estate but it is incredibly smooth. It has a sweet finish and woody after-taste
Average rum that doesnβt really shine in any department.
If someone tries it without knowing the rums and thinks that all rums taste like that, then they probably won't buy another one. The very artificial flavor reminds me of the artificial flavorings for low-quality cake. He is disgusting. I do not recommend to anyone. Completely lost money. In my opinion, it is absolutely useless. Neither for cocktails, nor for tea, and even less for clean drinking. In my opinion, Appleton is losing its reputation for such trash. I am ashamed to put it on my virtual shelf.
It's a very good run in the rocks and with soda I bought it very cheap and was suspicious but now it's a must have in my bar
Good, cheap funk. Smoother than the Signature Blend but still a mixer IMO.
Nice spicy oak notes dominate, with only hints of fruit and just a small undertone of funk.
"A fruity experience. Itβs initially quite sweet β nice fruity notes banana, mango maybe a little grape, which fade into an almost tangy dry zesty spice. The finish is medium long."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

It is in fact a good rum but it disappointed me as I tought it would be much better (especialy in a mai tai).
