Tastes like a super cheap rum..It smells like cough syrup and I'm not sure how people are giving it anything north of 2 on this scale...Its inexpensive for a good reason.

I’m curious how they call this spiced rum. I’m usually pretty positive on this site with my ratings, but this was just bad. It made Captain taste good(strictly comparatively speaking). All I got was bubblegum. Not even any spice. Imagine finding an off-brand candle that was intended to be “bubblegum” scented and that’s what the aroma smelled like. And then it tastes exactly the same, so it’s got that going for it. I couldn’t even finish the little pour I did of it and didn’t want to ruin a can of coke so I just poured it all into my 3 liter barrel and I’ll see if some actual time on oak can help it…..but I’m not holding out any hope.

Weirdly smoky. I was only trying to use it as a mixer, but it ruined the drink. I gave it away. The new Kirkland 15 year from Panama is good though.
Why did I get it? Cause I didn't know better. What the heck do I mix it with?

I always try my rum straight before I move on and try other mixes with it. This goes really well with cream soda. But I wouldn't take it straight.

It's really hard to beat the value of Costco spirits, but Costco can do better in the entire rum lacking rum selection. They do great with other spirits, but this stuff has an awful astringent aftertaste. If you liked spiced rum move on to Bacardi Oakheart or Kraken.

Too peppery to drink neat. Too sharp to be considered in the spiced category. Maybe a good choice to share out at a party but not for storing away amongst my cabinet treasures.

Get what you pay for on this one. Seems best used for mixed drinks. Vanilla note too strong.

Nice sweet nose - almost exactly like vanilla extract and gingerbread. Would certainly make a tasty cookie, rum... to be determined. Taste starts with a huge amount of rubbing alcohol, then a little cinnamon and spice. Tough to get down, strong and like a spoiled syrup - not made to sip alone. Short finish with a lingering tartness that isn’t great. Next mixed with Coke, not a huge improvement and the same core flavors coming through. There are certainly better flavored/spiced rums.
