One of the best I've ever had. Not at all harsh with a lovely rum taste. I drink it neat. Jack Sparrow would definitely ask "But why is the rum gone!?" with this Lousiana rum. It's gone because I drank it!!
I’m also a bourbon drinker so when I found this one I was excited. It’s an excellent rum.
Boy, what a find! I enjoy rum & bourbon and this is two in one. Aged in oak barrels, it is definitely flavourful and perfect for when you can't decide between the two spirits.

I think I read this is aged 5 years. If I'm right, this is great for a 5 yr rum. Love the taste. Not too much burn
This is a great buy for the price. I absolutely love the flavor.
I've been drinking a lot this, because like many I'm on pandemic budget at the moment and while it usually goes for around $27-$30 a bottle, a liquor store close to me has been getting special buys and selling it $15. Could clean rum. Let sit and breath a little, brings out caramel finish. It might could use a little more aging. Barely edges out the spiced as my favorite everyday big glass filler.
Has a really warming, sweet chocolate like theme running through it.
"It’s drier though and has a lot more oak. The sweet chocolate notes are more of a bitter burnt caramel or unsweetened cocoa."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

I was pleasantly surprised to find this rum today, Bayou spiced is one of my favorite rums. I have enjoyed everything that the Bayou company has put out so far, and this one is no exception. For a little less than twice the price of the regular Bayou you get a very smooth flavorful sipping rum. I do find this one to be more of a classic rum flavor than the regular spiced Bayou, but don't let that fool you, this rum tastes better than anything else at this price point. This reminds me of a rum I bought in Costa Rica, Ron Centenario Anejo Especial. Great rum to sip on in the winter.
