Nice label and good cork. The smell of cinnamon, jam, orange, sharp. Complex taste: cherry, spices, medicines, without aging, dry. It is heavy and stupid from the second glass.
Would I buy it again? Only once, yes.
At first I thought this might be a bit sweet and artificial, but nothing could be further from the truth! Just the right amount of banana backed by a subtly spiced rum, makes this my current favourite!
So different to other Spiced Rum... this one tastes like quality rum with real spices - and not jammed with sweetners. I really enjoyed this rum with Ginger beer and a squeeze of fresh lime. Great drink!
I was amazed to finally find a Spiced Rum with ZERO sugar added. This product has big punchy spices and is super dry...I found it mixed perfectly with Ginger Beer (which already has enough sugar in it!) a squeeze of lime and it made a beautifully balanced refreshing spicy drink. Then I had 4 more!! Love the local independent producers giving the big guys a run for their money!!!
N- Initial freaking sweetness like a gulap jamun soaked with dripping syrup, clouded with heavy dosage of cinnamon, clove and vanilla. But get better after the excessive sugar were aired out, cola candy, zesty, sandalwood and mineral, even some quality raisin and milky chocolate lurking. (83/18)
P- Have a sip of this aired rum, the coat of fine bitterness taking in well, nutmeg, cola, lime peel and lifted with dry mouthfeel. Smokes of wood, mineral and chocolaty. (86/20)
F- Short-medium, subtly toasted and nutmeg, soft bitterness from the palate remains to balanced out the sweetness. Dry, cola again and mildly spicy. (86/20)
B/B- 85/19. Apart from the initial surge of offensive sweetness, is actually quite good, think their "Dry Spiced" version should be better.

Named after a fictional WW2 american soldier called John Frum.. He and his mates brought all sorts of goodies for the locals on an island in Vanuatu during the war...
38.5% .Pours a nice golden colour , aroma's of clove , cinnamon and orange zest above the glass with some vanilla in the background. Subtle spiced rum indeed... this is more Foursquare than Kraken !
No added sugar apparently, which accounts for some dryness but still nicely sweet..
Ok to sip but also makes a good mixer , just don't drown it or the subtle flavours will get lost..
A blend of rums from Papua New Guinea and Fiji put together in Aussie..
Notes of Ginger, Cinnamon, a little Cardamon.
"The finish is a little like an Indian Curry – there is a lot of all spice, ginger and maybe some fennel a little Garam Masala."
