Plantation Panama Single Cask Pineau des Charentes Finish 8-Year

Another Plantation success. Very enjoyable and light fruit forward. Slight hint of sweetness and smooth finish. Excellent bang for your buck.

A Single Cask Rum Series from Plantation is a reliable good stuff. The Panama 8 years old is no exception.

An extremely pleasant, amber colored semi-sweet rum. Smooth with a unique finish that reminds you of the congnac-cask aging. My new favorite and easy to find/buy local in NYC/NJ.

I gave a sniff of this rum to 3 non rum drinkers and 2 out of 3 of them liked or loved it and all of them enjoyed the unique finish.

Po všech stránkách příjemný, sladký rum. Základní vůně i chuť jsou tuzemsky pralinkové, ale ne tak prvoplánově, jako u Plantation Grande Reserve. U téhle lahvinky lze za nimi navíc najít plné spektrum všemožných tropických rumových atributů pěkně harmonicky a decentně sladěných, navíc ale zajímavě obohacených hořkými tóny, za něž nejspíš odpovídají sudy od pineau.
Na rozdíl od Barbados 12-Year Single Cask Wild Cherry Finish ve mně ale tenhle číslovaný produkt touhu objednat celý karton nevzbudil. Byla to prima zkušenost a dobrá investice, nicméně určitě je spousta podobně chutných sudů, z nichž jsem ještě nic nepil.

Typical sweet nose and taste has a little bite of alcohol but minimal. The vanilla, toffee and caramel notes carry you through to a very enjoyable rum. On the rocks or neat preferred. Tasty choice

Lidt lysere rom end hvad jeg normalt foretrækker, med en kraftig Agricole duft, hvilket dog ikke smager igennem. Smagen er let sød men sprittet i halsen bagefter.
