Let's try this 50% unaged agricole.
Nose: Typical white and fresh agricole nose greets me. Some say there is plum, because it smells like Sliwowitz.
But I would say it's a fresh sugar cane with some lime aroma. It smells like peppery Caipirinha. Some metallic notes are there, also some grasy and peppery notes in the background.
Taste: It starts grasy with lemongras and sugar cane, then the lime takes over. It became spicy and some peppery notes appear. Some prune aromas are in the background. The finish is long and peppery, of course spicy.
It's a strong and spicy agricole. You can sip it, it's beautifully fresh. The metallic aromas are not that strong, the quality is very good. It's very good for the price. Would rate it with 61 points.

Visited the Saint James Distillery while vacationing in Martinique. Comprehensive distillery tour followed by an open tasting bar. Saint James Fleur de Canne was priced at EUR 9 at the distillery. Pretty decent old school bottle and label design. Traditional very dry Rhum Agricole notes followed by grass, spices, aniseed and floral bouquet to your nose and palate. Very strong burn at the end. Rhum Agricole lovers can easily add 2 points to my score.
Rhum assez léger et particulièrement fruité;il sort un peu du lot des rhums agricoles boisés de la Martinique!
