Spice laden craziness, with orange peel, nutmeg, cloves and cinnamon. When mixed, the spices cut through coke like a chainsaw. There is some solid rum underneath, but barely noticeable. If you like spiced rums (I am not) add five starts. My wife's absolute #1 among spiced rums. Too sweet for me.
OK but I've found better, but what do I know, I'm a newby?
I had little expectation on how this would taste, my experience with spiced rums has been overwhelmed by vanilla flavours. Chairman's Reserve was something else entirely. In the UK 'mince pies' is a Christmas food item as traditional as turkey - the 'mince' is actually spiced stewed fruit, and this rum tastes exactly like that. It was superb to find something as rich in flavour as this, highly recommend.
You always see bottles labelled as "spiced rum" and only get flavours of sweetness and vanilla. However, this is the mother of all spiced rums; this has a strong nose (in order) of orange peel, cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg. Truly a delicious tasting rum that is smooth and easy to sip. I wouldn't mix this one.
Balanced ordinary spiced rum. Easy to drink, smooth taste. But very simple odor. 7 - for good price for this quality only. Non sweet.
One of the best spiced runs I've had and at a great price

I like it but... 7 out of 10
I really like this spiced rum however, I am a rum and coke guy and Sailor Jerry (with it's more vanilla flavor) goes better with coke. The cloves are a bit off with coke.
