The scent is awfull the taste was better and the finish was okay..
Ste Lucie réserve bien d'autres merveilles, mais ce rhum a le mérite d'exister et d'être correct d'un point de vue qualité/prix.
6,5:On the nose, we have the impression of a dry and woody rum, the American oak barrel having left its mark. Aromas of tobacco, banana and vanilla are also present. The whole thing is light and gives off a certain freshness with nuttiness, dried fruits, spiciness-nutmeg and cocoa.
6,5:On the palate, we confirm that it is not sweet at all and is just slightly dry. It’s the toasted woodiness that takes over, with nuts, nutmeg, caramel, dried and yellow fruits, everything quite rounded.
6:The finish is quite long, a bit dry, with intense vanilla as well as tobacco, wood, slight caramel.
Príliž predubované, whiskové až tak, že to viac chutí ako whisky bourbon a nie ako rum. K tomuto sa nevrátim.
I dont know what it is about the label but until actually reading it I thought this was a spiced rum. That being said I'm glad I picked it up. Very tasty rum has a nice burn thats not too harsh
Skvělý poměr ceny a kvality. Dřevo, melasa doplněno o ovoce, náznaky vanilky a karamelu. Já si raději připlatím za Legacy, ale tento je taky fajn.
This is a very smooth rum with a somewhat bitter finish. Nice smoky and butterscotch notes on the nose and smooth on the palate, this is a great budget sipper. The main attraction for this rum is the price. Maybe not as tempting for those in the US where foursquare rums are cheap and available, but for the rest of us where those come at a premium, this is a genuine budget sipper if you don't like sweet rums.
Caramel and burnt sugar upfront, but with copper coins and coalfire in the background, some unripe fruits and green grass. Not a bad nose.
Bit of a mixed bag for me. It's got some nice smoky tones and some spice, which is what you hope for with St. Lucia Rum, but unfortunately the sugars and caramel quickly do away with all else and completely take over, until we get some unripe fruit and some alcohol in the finish.
Not bad at all, but unfortunately too sweet.
"sweet and fruity but has a bit of smokiness"
"Chairman's Reserve rum review by The Fat Rum Pirate"
It’s sweet and fruity but has a bit of smokiness to it as well.
"It can be sipped and it isn’t rough or harsh. There is a bit of an alcohol burn but even that is quite smoky and pleasant."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Quality mid range rum. Quite ok to sip straight, and with enough taste to be distinctive in mixed drinks. Pity there isn't a premium aged version available.
