Mombacho 15-Year

It has aroma and taste of Dark chocolate and butter caramel.
Not so sweet, very deep taste.
I tried Monbacho 12 year and 19year, I think this 15year have the best balance.

Den dufter meget af lakrids og Kakao.
Den er lidt spritte, der er lidt smag af vanilje og chokolade.

...but not like Flor De Cana. Heavier with a bit piquant nose, smooth but not so sweet, interesting.

Dark rum with strong taste of cocoa and tobaco. Nice surprise for me.

Nose: Great licorice aroma with molasses

Taste: great balance in the level of sweetnes ( my taste buds prefer the slightly sweeter rums ;) ).. Hints of licorice and sweet molasses, without it being too sweet.
The aftertaste could be better with some better complexity.

Overall rating : 6,8

Très bien vieilli avec des notes boisées empyreumatique et de fèves de cacao torréfiées. Pas de tralala avec des vieillissement ou des finitions en fut de bazar ou de je ne sais quoi. Juste un bon rhum de style espagnol profond et sans fioritures.

It has a good smell of liquerice and chocolate. Mmmh.
But the taste could be Better. Feels as if there is to much taste of liqueur.
Medium/high price

Aroma is spiced, but not very pleasant (little bit like burned tire) .
Taste is dark and sweet - definitely added sugar and caramel + some licorice and molasses.
Aftertaste is short and a bit bitter - I expected more from 15y old rum :-(
