one of the best rums ive had in the affordable price range (in US its between 16-25$. in mass ~20-24$)
great taste. solid sipper with some ice. makes a fantastic rum & coke. strong vanilla and other spices. i enjoy it alot and its my go to rum because of price and quality. always have one in my stock :)
i got alot of friends into rum by having them try this bad boy
I dont know if this bottles been sneakily topped back up with water or if its naturally this weak and watery ? Tastes of coffee , chocolate and a bit of caramel , very sweet but instantly forgettable....
The absolute winner when compared to other rums by price. It has a little of everything, spices, fruits, vanilla but all of it well-dosed. Could be a little milder though.
Glad I tried it, but no rush to try another bottle.
not the worst i've tasted so far.
nothing special to drink but quite useful as a baking ingredient.
Nice caramel flavor with some molasses too. Really good rum and nice and cheap.
This rum came highly recommended at a favorable price by my local rum merchant. Initially it has a medicine smell but the taste is not bad. Savor it a bit and swallow, the after taste is slightly citrus and maybe a little peppery. It leaves my mouth feeling a bit dry, then more of a slight hint of grapefruit flavour. I wouldn't make this my go to rum but not bad for the price.
A coffee candy aroma and strong alcohol. All components are not worse than average. Identity is impressive. ..... Недорого, качественно, самобытно. Аромат кофе, банана и зрелого алкоголя. Вкус тёмного индийского рома ))). Крепкий и сухой - значит тяжёл для желудка в чистом виде. Не слишком дурит голову и не отбирает силы.
I bought this rum in Goa. For about $2.00.
Yup, that's right. And maybe that colors my judgement.
It has a nose that reminds you a lot of rum-raisin icecream and the taste is actually quite nice, but you can't get away from the feeling that it is almost as a liqueur, tasting like it's flavored with rum essence. But it isn't too sweet, the taste is quite rich in it's essence, but it fades away quickly. Prominent taste of burnt sugar, and fudge, and a bit heavy on the alcohol taste. I've only tasted it straight up, so I don't know how it mixes as a drink, or how it taste with ice, but I imagine there are better choices. Definitely worth $2 though!
It is very rich and bold in flavour.
"It is sweet and reminds me a little of a Baileys type taste. There is a definite kick of alcohol in amongst it."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Not great, but unique

Unique nose with some butterscotch. Really strong taste, even more vibrant than most 151s I've had. Honestly I didn't like it at all, maybe some do - but just too harsh to get many flavors. Friend of mine says it tastes like an oyster with some brine. Likely good for whiskey drinkers.
