Espero Reserva Especial

Not the best rum but I really enjoyed it although I only had 1 glass

Not very complex with a weak taste. However, the existing taste is not too bad. Only slightly sweet for rum, some raisins and dark chocolate.

The bottle has a screw cap. Has nothing to do with the taste, it just feels......cheap. The nose is very light. Not smelling much except light alcohol. Taste is a bit sweet with some citrus. There's a slight burn that lasts for a short time.

Ron Espero Reserva Especial is actually better than the older and more expensive Ron Espero Reserva Exclusiva. The latter rum has a very strong cherry flavor which is offputting whereas the Especial has a very strong artificial sweetness to it. Then the taste test just disappears without leaving any trace. No burn, no taste, nothing to remember.

Nothing interesting, too harsh, really alcoholic scent and aftertaste is nothing to be enjoyed.
