Alkohol: 40 %
Původ: Dominikánská republika
Aroma: Vůně asi nepřekvapí nikoho, kdo zná dominikánské rumy z produkce Oliver and Oliver. Čokoláda, cedr, rozinky, sladká dřevitost. Vůně je jemně uhlazená a krémová, s mléčnou čokoládou, skořicí a čokoládovým müsli. (88 b)
Chuť: Sladší chuť, mléčně čokoládová, s rozinkami a cedrovým dřevem. K tomu se přidává jemná pikantní kořenitost, trochu větrovosti, v dochuti pak anýz. Cedru je dost, to se mi líbí. Sladší, ale ne přehnaně. (92 b)
Body: 90/100
Shrnutí: Ochutnal jsem v Pivnici U Čolka v Brně-Žabovřeskách, kde mají velmi pěknou rumovou nabídku, odhadem asi 150-170 druhů. Pro mě nejlepší ze sedmi zde ochutnaných rumů. Což je na nejlevnější a nejmladší rum z řady Oliver's Exquisito slibný výsledek.

One of the best rums I have drunk.
It is a little bit too sweet but very soft taste. If you like very mild and soft rum like Plantation Aniversary XO but with more woody sweetness then this is the rum you should try.
If you drink regularly then it may become too sweet for you but occassionaky It is fine.

I really liked this one. It is somewhere between 8-9/10 for me. You can taste the vanilla, the nosing is perfect. In the taste it is not so sweet (that I prefer) but its smooth in the throat.

This is a very smooth rum. Has a nice "edge" to it. Not too sweet and a long good aftertaste.

I found this rum having a wide inverting smell and delightful taste. Looking forward to drikning the whole bottle.

Classic Oliver

40% solera rum from the Dominican Republic from the famous Oliver & Oliver distillery. It is a blend of minimum 12 years old rums aged since 1995 in bourbon barrels and then single malt whisky barrels. It is the last edition so far. The 1985 and 1990 editions were released before that.
Bottle: Beautifully flattened and presented in a blue velvet bag. This presentation looks quite luxurious.
Colour: Copper.
Nose: It's sweet and has vanilla, caramel, ripe bananas, cocoa and oak tones.
Mouth: Sweet, dense and smooth. The taste shows caramel, honey, tropical fruits, milk chocolate, nuts and slightly oak. The rum is not over-sweetened, however, and turns into a slight bitterness (woodiness) at the end.
Finish: Medium-long.
This is a classic Oliver with a similar taste to Ophyum, for example. Although it is sweeter, there are pleasant fruity flavours and woodier notes.
