velké očekávání jsem měl u tohoto rumu.
Vůně velmi hřejivá a lehce ostrá - nutné nechat nadechnout.
Beautiful dark color, very nice taste and a good balance between sweetness and a good burn. Maybe a bit too sweet.
In conparsion with another Exquisito rums this is lower complexity and smaller body than other big rums.
It is quite nice. Better than average. Quality from Oliver.
Caramel and coffee are strong with a hint of chocolate. Not too strong with oil hanging on.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

40% solera rum from the Dominican Republic from the famous Oliver & Oliver distillery. It is a blend of minimum 12 years old rums aged since 1995 in bourbon barrels and then single malt whisky barrels. It is the last edition so far. The 1985 and 1990 editions were released before that.
Bottle: Beautifully flattened and presented in a blue velvet bag. This presentation looks quite luxurious.
Colour: Copper.
Nose: It's sweet and has vanilla, caramel, ripe bananas, cocoa and oak tones.
Mouth: Sweet, dense and smooth. The taste shows caramel, honey, tropical fruits, milk chocolate, nuts and slightly oak. The rum is not over-sweetened, however, and turns into a slight bitterness (woodiness) at the end.
Finish: Medium-long.
This is a classic Oliver with a similar taste to Ophyum, for example. Although it is sweeter, there are pleasant fruity flavours and woodier notes.
Overall rating: 8/10
