Strong alcohol taste, more a dark rum drinker, no sweetness,
Very zingy and lemon hints
I like english-slyle rum more than cuban ones and Doorly's three is one of the best. It's classic Bajan white rum - medium body, rich aroma and so on. It is not so harsh as it could be (especially like many of cuban rums) Opposite - is smooth, creamy, fruity little bit sweet and hint of vanilla. I don't drink white rum neat, but this "fine old barbados rum" deserves it more than the others
This one is awkard expirience. Rich aroma was broken with its alco burn. Aftertaste is also gasoline with small fruity notes. Deffinetly bad mixer by the means of price/quality.
This goes great in cocktails calling for white rum. Definitely my favorite white from Barbados and top 3 for white rums that arent from Jamaican or 100% pot still.
To start, the nose on this is phenomenal. It reminds me of Malin & Goetz rum perfume which is based on Bayan rums. On the nose it smells sweet and smooth. On the palate it is subtle, smooth and dry. There is body and a sweetness as well. I have to say I was very surprised by the amount of flavours here. Its not got as much bite or heat as white overproof Jamaican rums, but that is not always the vibe you are after. Could easily sip neat, with or without ice in the sun, or with a mixer. Cheers...
This young rum is nothing spectacular, taste-wise but it is very useful for cocktails like Mojito's and Daiquiri's so it is a solid white rum staple for anyone who enjoys mixology, like me!
The nose is pretty heavy on the vanilla and has a “young” sweet alcohol forward feature.
"Quite sweet, with an aftertaste of oak, tobacco and charcoal. The finish is fairly short and overall the alcohol burn on this rum is pretty minimal. It’s very smooth and for such a young rum surprisingly easy to sip."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

This rum is only 3 years old but you'd never know it. It's extremely well-behaved...dry but not too much, fruity but only enough to be interesting, and smooth as silk. It's fine for sipping neat and yet it plays well with others...cocktails, tiki drinks, you name it. And the price? Well, for twenty bucks US you can buy a bottle of this rum and a Happy Meal. Oh yes.
