Doorly's White ABV40 3-Year

This is my 1st bottle of this and I was surprised. A little sweet and mild. Mixes well with Coke Zero.

White rum is not just a mixer. Mild, slightly sweet taste. Worth the price.

Toto je môj druhý skúšaný biely rum, ten prvý bol Plantation 3 Stars Artisanal. Stále nejde o moju hlavnú parketu drinkov, no keďže ide o obľúbený Doorly's, nemôžem ho ignorovať. Klasicky známy tvar fľaše, farba jemne žltkastá. Vôňa mi príde dosť nevýrazná, v pozadí jasne etanolového oparu cítiť najviac asi limetku. Sladkosť tak akurát, čakal som o niečo suchší rum, vzhľadom k 3-ročnému zreniu je aj ostrosť v normále. Dá sa bez problémov piť samotný, napokon nie som zástancom miešania drahších drinkov so sladenými nápojmi (na to úplne postačí lacný biely rum zo supermarketu). Každopádne spomenutý Plantation mi prišiel viac vychutený a tým aj zaujímavejší. Nehovoriac o cene, ktorá bola cca o 40% nižšia. V pohode, dopijem ho, ale nepredpokladám, že sa k nemu ešte niekedy vrátim, uprednostním určite 5-ročný v podobnej cenovej relácii, kde sú oveľa viac prítomné dubové tóny. Subjektívne silných 5.

One of the better whites I have tried. Nice fruitiness. Smooth and creamier than most white rums. The fruit impression would make this ideal for any daiquiri. Not complex but the bite is really manageable and nice. Short finish as with most white. I am impressed and white rum seldom impresses me. A quality expression for sure. I have never been disapointed by Doorly's.

My standard for mixing Cocktails. I don't know pure taste... I can't remeber.

Great for mixing, lots of fruity notes for a classic daiquiri!

Bought it for blending and finishing in a cask. It's almost drinkable itself. Nice body with wood-ish tones, but the tail is rather grassy, alcoholic and plain.

This is a pretty decent mixer. It adds something more complex than just burn to a daiquiri or Coke. It's not anything you'd want to sip neat, but you won't be wasting your money, either.

Found this in a pub in Yorkshire, so gave it a whirl, far superior to your standard Bacardi and coke, smooth and fruity, tried it with coke and it was excellent, with ginger beer not quite as good, a solid 7 out of 10 for me.
