Ron Zacapa 2014 Reserva Limitada

This one is very good and the price was reasonable at $40 for a 1L bottle. Smooth going down but a bit of an after taste. Not as good as El Dorado 12 or Cruzan Single Barrel but definitely worth trying.

Quite different from the RZ 23. It has a lot of different spices, which makes it a unique experience. Not quite my taste, but interesting nonetheless.

Dieser Zacapa fällt etwas aus dem typischen Zacapa Geschmacksrahmen,Er hat eine Nuance von Zimt und einen Hauch Eucalyptus,nicht schlecht aber nicht unbedingt mein Fall ,den Limitada 2013 und vor allem der 2015er finde ich deutlich besser.
Gegen den white Label oder gar black Label kann er ganz und gar nicht bestehen

Well, the Zacapa heritage is there and it is a good rum. But the taste of herbs is a little strange in my taste.

This is a rum, that has slightly more edge, than the regular solera 23, and XO, but is however, still a bottle with more or less the same expression and flavorprofile as the rest of the Zacapa Range.

No encontré prácticamente ninguna diferencia entre este y el zacapa 23 excepto el precio, por eso no voy a puntuarlo mejor. 40€ más por el mismo mejunje.

Has that ekstra kick to it that gives a nice warmth. Not quite anything near their good old Straight from cask when it comes to taste and balance, but its a decent effort. The acclaimed "garden of spices" does nothing especially for it. A bit too pricy, and it can't quite compete with others up there.
I fint it too sharp in taste, lacks balance.

I just dont seem to like it too much. The alcohol is quite dominant for me.

assez surprenant, même si je n'ai pas trouvé tout les aromes qu'on m'avait promis...
il reste rond et onctueux. a découvrir.
