Artificial flavour and a nasty aftertaste. With coke it is drinkable. Without coke it isn't. To be honest, coke without this rum tastes way better

Ok in rum and coke, not really good for much else, drink this neat if you're into inflicting pain upon yourself.

Hard strong taste, good if anything else is not around.

Taste like glue and smells like plastic with a note of gasoline.
Might be good for cleaning.

You only come across this rum at parties where people want to get wasted or in countries where alcohol is really expensive. Dont try this, if you want alcohol it is better to buy a shot of vodka

It's not up to much but is probably one of the best known and first tried rums for most people. I dare say it switches off as many people as it turns on. It's like a fairly tasteless dark, alcoholic syrup with a burn. It's sweet in a cloying way, has a certain spice that is undistiguishable and bland. And strangely...it does taste ok in cola or Dr Pepper. That's about it. I find it hard to drink neat. It's way too rough and uninteresting.

Naturally Rums like this have a market since there is also a market for bad wines. Luckily nobody forces me to drink this.

When buying a cheap mixer, the only thing you can expect is to have a kind of low quality enjoyment after flooding it with coke. Unfortunately, mixing did not improve the flavour, CM Dark was still barely drinkable. Not for recommendation, unless you are planning a party with people who do not have any expectations regarding the quality of rum provided for drinking.
