Plantation Original Dark Trinidad

Very impressive rum for its price! Quite strong and quite sweet. With a great flavor of citrus, carnation and of course.. banana!! That's very unusual for rums to be with banana flavor. Its prefect to drink it pure, with no ice or cola.
But there is one thing. This description is only applicable for Original Dark with date of bottling 2014! The bottle should have this ticket!

This is quite good rum for that price, you feel quite sticky tail cause by the shorter time of maturation, but OK.

Paid $17.96 in NYC. I expected any Plantation rum would knock it out of the park, but I was awakened by this one. Upon opening, I noticed a different smell - there is a distinct aroma but I can't put my finger on it. The bottle calls it a "rum funk" which I would have to agree. Some type of spice that puts this rum 3-4 notches below the Plantation 5 or 20th Anniversary.

Not my top choice by far but still a good rum. It has good flavors to it and for the price it is worth it.

I tried it and it tastes to me. In my opinion this is correct rum at a good price. When you search a cheapes rum you should buy it.

Great smell to it and it's pretty tasty too. Makes a great Cuba lebra.
