Mijn eerste "sipper" en eerste rum die ik puur dronk.
Zachte bruine rum. Smaak van eikenhout, fruit, vanille en tabak en een lekkere zoete nasmaak. Mooie kleur ook na 3-5 jaar op gebrande eikenhouten vaten.

Voor deze prijs een prima rum.

Surprisingly very drinkable neat, but not really for deeply enjoying the taste. Taste seems little flat, on first little acidic/stingy, but with few sips it flows away to rather mild and sweet rum. It taste like white rum, bit spices (nutmeg-y) and honey, but you will not get more than that. It is nice mixer, but it will dissolve all it's taste in your cocktail pretty quickly. So I would recommend if you want to get tipsy on rum for nice price. It's place between being barbarian getting drunk on cheap Bacardi and wasting good rum on intensive sipping. Good bottle to take on party, if you wanna show bit class, bit not much.

If you ask me this is a nice rum to drink like that or with coke so a 7 from me. Pretty decent, not a bad taste! I have one at home more than often!

Flat, sweet, cloying rum, but a tad better than most rums from this distillery.

This is an ok basic rum, Good for mixing or neat for the days you don’t need something fancy

The nose is light, with dried fruits, waft of tobacco and a bit of white oak, the taste is dried fruits, prominent tobacco, spices and a bit of barrel, all turning honey sweet as if some sugar was added. The aftertaste is sweet, spicy, with some alcohol burn, but nothing an adult man cannot survive - as this rum is meant to be mixed, I would not consider this as a problem. The nose and some parts of the taste profile remind me of Don Q Anejo, which not a bad rum indeed. This Bacardi release is not very complex, but it is a good value for the money, I can even sip this one when there is nothing better around and it makes lovely mixed drinks. Score between 6 and 7.
