Captain Morgan Black Spiced

I was looking to try a small bottle of Captain Morgan Private Stock based on a recommendation. I was told they didn't have a small sized version but the staff member offered me a 375ml of Captain Morgan Black Spiced instead. Never heard of it at the time.

Wow. I expected an unpleasant charred taste, but it is nice and rich with a lot of pleasant character.
I didn't mind it straight, and it stood up well in mixed drinks.

I'm not sure I'll ever find another bottle, but I'm glad I tried it.

Black Spiced Captain Morgan Rum, another good Dark Navy Rum...

Similar to the old RCN Prusser Rum and good with a Coke Cola mix...

I love this rum, its very difficult to find. I would always choose it over any other if I could find it!

Its good rum but personally i would choose different one in off licence store. Way better than classic captain morgan.

What can I say? I am not into spiced rums. I have a friend who loves them though and I had more than my fair share thanks to him. Friendship is about sacrifices :)

Not a rum to drink neat. Quite a strong taste. Not a fan of black spiced rums.

Cheap and available, I love this rum in a dark and stormy!

If you like a very dark rum with your cola; you better try the Kraken. That will give a slightly better taste. Another better option is Gosling’s.
Rum and Coke / Rum & Coke

Nose: Some steel tank aroma (unaged rum), peach, apricots, caramel

Taste: Peach, caramel, the sweetness rises, steel tank aroma in the finish

Conclusion: I think this one is better than bacardi or other cheap spiced rums.

It's good at party. First time i've tried it it was better than second time.
