S.B.S. 2015 Antigua 64,9% 7-Year

Bought a sample of this rum from RhumAttitude.
It’s a single barrel selection from
Antigua Distillery Ltd distilled in 2015 based on molasses in their column still. It’s aged in an ex-bourbon cask, bottled at cask strength at ABV 64,9% in just 257 bottles.
The nose is fruity, sweet and buttery with hints of spices, chocolate, vanilla and wood.
At the palate it’s smooth, fruity and spicy with hints of caramel, pepper and oak.
The long finish goes on in the same way with some notes of smoke and tobacco.
Overall a great rum that’s fresh, complex and unmistakable an English Harbour that tastes quite much as the 5yo, but of course with stronger tastes thanks to the higher ABV.

Vůně mi připomíná FS z Barbadosu.
Chuť kupodivu také, jen poněkud ,,sušší" verzi.
Docela dobře pitelný rumík pro krásné večery. Mohu jen doporučit, ovšem asi jej už neseženete. :(

Rum zrál 7 let v sudech po bourbonu.
Vyrobeno bylo 257 lahví.

Aroma: Těžký odér alkoholu, který však zjemňuje pikantní karamel, dále máslové sušenky, mokré dřevo a vanilková nasládlost. Vše umocňuje decentní zemitost. Krásná vůně.
Chuť: Nasládlá a hutná - dřevo, karamel a lehce štípající alkohol.
Dozvuk: Nálož dřeva a vanilky, hořknoucí karamel a snad i černý čaj.
Sladkost: 0/3
Celá lahev
Velmi povedená záležitost. Dosti podobný styl jako rumy z Belize: krásná vůně, dřevo, karamel, vanilka... Určitě to lepší ze série SBS 2022. 8+/10
