Now this is moving up the ladder from Santiago 11, same dry typical Cuban style but much smoother neat. Medium golden color, no alcohol scent. This is very good but not great. Not enough depth and lingering flavors for me. I guess Iโ€™m not a huge fan of Cuban rums.

I went my first rum bar since the pandemic started. Out of all the bottles of rum available, there were only two I havenโ€™t tried. Edmundo Dantes 15 year was one of them. Itโ€™s very smooth, oaky, well balanced, complexed, hints of tobacco and caramel, medium legs, almost no burn. Itโ€™s a very enjoyable rum. I give it a 8.4 out of 10. Unfortunately, itโ€™s not available for purchase in my country.

Is a Rum light tasted with less or not well structured at all. Too expensive for what you receive..!!!

Many thanks to Joola69 for sharing this with me as part of a rare rum exchange (you can't buy Cuban rums in the US).

Smells and tastes of molasses, tobacco, chocolate, and caramel (but not much sweetness). Really easy drinking and smooth.

Bright spicy sharp flavors to taste, with a touch of acid.
Round rich flavors. That rip through your mouth and slowly linger to your belly.
A good rum to try for any aficionado, experienced or not.
Enjoy.

for me a secret tip. I'm more the Santiago Rum drinker, but this is also a very tasty rum..it doesn't burn as much than others and is smooth and a bit sweet.

A bit sharp for what I was expecting, also dry. Probably will give it another tasting.

Not my cuppa tea - sweetened, raisiny and not a true Rum. Should be sold as spiced rum.

Enjoyed this rum only once at a restaurant in Havana....very difficult to find even in Cuba. Its small batch, unique and very mature taste-- a typical top shelf Cuban rum. If you can find it, worth warehousing a few bottles...
