Gold of Mauritius Dark

I had a chance to taste a small bottle of this rum. Its taste slightly reminds me of peated whiskies, which I do not really like.

Really smoky tones, with banana aroma. Not my cup of tea.

Strength - 6/10
Sweetness - 4/10

Stronger and less delicate of my favorite rum blue Mauritius. Still easily recommendable well balanced spirit.

Classic, not sweet, more runny than spicy, little citrus tones

Für mich zu Süß , aber okay.

Too sweet for me, but okay.

Nose is little sweet, no specific flavour. Little bit dull and weak. Taste is sweet. Sugar, spices and strong smokey end and finish. Overall composition does not suit me.

Maybe nothing fancy, but a pleasant sipper. Lots of sweets, milk chocolate.

Koupil jsem ho manželce, ale byl na ní málo sladký a tak jsem ho upíjím já. Chutná mi ta specifická chuť některých mauricijských rumů po pražených oříšcích, sladu a dřevě.

Nice taste at first , after few drinks i taste something exotic, like coconut . It feels empty rum like spiced. Bad feel at throat, the alcohol burns it. I see here its not aged rum.

I drink many rums on this price tag and all are overrated-overpriced in my opinion. This Rum should cost 20 euros.

Zaujme krásná bytelná lahev. Tak nějak průměrný tmavý rum, který si dle mého názoru zcela neobhájí svou cenu. Voní, chutná opravdu tak nějak průměrně ve všech směrech. Rozhodně se nejedná o propadák a svou sladší chutí spoustu zákazníku jistě zaujme.
