Long Pond is known for its funky and high-ester style of rum.
It’s pot still distilled in 2001 whereafter it has been continentally aged in an ex-rum barrel for 21 years before bottled at cask strength in 245 bottles at 56,4%.
The aromas is fruity, funky and spicy with hints of wood, esters and vanilla.
In mouth and at the palate the aromas comes back as tastes, but I also recognize pineapple and banana together with some sweetness.
During the medium long finish it’s mostly fruity and sweet with hints of almonds.
Overall a fruity and funky rum.
