I love El Dorado aged rums. The 25 is in a class by itself...but this version is slightly less than the 1980 and the 1988 versions. The finish disappears quickly. Almost like they forgot to add something in the mix. If I had not had the other two versions I would say this is the best Rum I have tasted but that goes to the other 25 year old bottles of El Dorado. Really a 9.9

I really enjoyed this bottle, the presentation is beautiful, the color is attractive, the aromas and the taste are really something very well done. I would like to be able to compare it with the other bottles of its type.

This is a huge step up from the 21. Flavor and a finish that will make you want more.

This is smooth & well aged, without being very oaky or bitter. Taste profile is sophisticated with exotic fruits, chocolate, peper, vanilla, honey, butter, apricots and raisins. Compared to all other El Dorados this is the sweetest. Over all extreamly overpriced, i am glad that try this but too much money for a very good drink. In comparison El Dorado 21 has a bit acid aftertaste (because of strong cognac aging) and not as mild as 25. If the cost of El Dorado 25 was about 120 to 140 euro would be fair.

Overall this tastes very similar to what I remember from El Dorado 21 year, the smell is certainly very nice and smooth, however you do not get nearly the fruitiness and complexity of smell as Pyrat cask 1623. The smell is more similar to bourbon with leather and vanilla and oak. Very nice! The taste is almost exactly how I remember the 21-year-old, extremely delicious but I don't think I could spend the money for a bottle with it being so similar to the 21 year. I tried this side-by-side with the 12 year, and it was night and day better, with it being much more smooth and sophisticated as we would expect because of the age. This one 95+

Bought this for my 30 years at work present, had many a rum from £50-200 but wanted to try this one,
and what a great buy managed to get it for under £400 so tasted even better.
If you like rum you will love this.
