Old J Pineapple

On the nose:
Indeed immediately hit with pineapple but directly overshadowed by banana, slight alcohol tingle which is surprising as it is 35%, perhaps some faint orange but I can't be sure of that.

On the tongue:
Pineapple/banana all the way, the predominent of the two switches around whilst fleeting away with a hint of marmalade, smooth with just a hint of throat burn.

Personal:
I really like this one, very enjoyable, will buy a bottle if I get a chance.

Strong pineapple flavour, a little synthetic but nice enough. I could not drink much of this in one go but quite a nice change from what I usually drink, next time I have it I think I'll throw in a couple of ice cubes which will hopefully mellow the strong pineapple flavour.

Interesting perspectives from other posters here, two saying it's too strong a flavour and someone else saying they like it. We all have different tastes but having had many rums over the years this is by far my favourite in terms of pineapple flavoured.

I'm a sucker for pineapple so when I find a flavour I like, I stick to it. Don't get me wrong, there are better Pineapple Rums out there-Plantation comes to mind-but the combination of fruit and spice is a welcome experience. The pineapple is ripe and round while the spice is warm and balanced. Perfect in Pineapple or Orange juice, or your favourite mixed drink.
