Color - Pale gold, almost white
Nose - Soft orange peel, slightly sweet, but not sweetened, gentle must
Taste - Musty grassy, short finish, light alcohol burn, hint of burnt orange peel comes through. The overall sipping experience is balanced, so the alcohol does not overpower the other flavors from beginning to end. The flavor lingers for several minutes after a sip, so there is an encouragement to relax with this one. In fact, sipping rapidly accentuates bitter flavors, and is rather unpleasant. I tried mixing it with some of the ingredients from a Mai Tai. It continues to provide the alcohol bite, but all rum-like flavors are overwhelmed by the mai tai ingredients, which suggests that the flavor is too mild to stand-up to mixing. It is not a problem since the flavor is pleasant enough for sipping neat.

Very strong alcohol notes on the nose that overpowers some of the sweeter notes. The flavor is a bit better with hints of caramel and molasses. Nice finish with a little bite. Not one that I’ll keep on hand but if I’m in trouble I’ll grab a bottle.

Not sure how much of the blend is Jamaican, but the funk definitely comes out in the nose. Not much sweetness, but a long dry finish.

Very smooth a bit lighter like a well made donQ but with more caramel and slight woody notes a little watered down probably an 8 if it were bottled at higher proof

On the nose I get the different oak hints as well as a molasses and dark fruit hit. On the palate is a drier rum with good flavor and some bite. I'd like to see this with a smooth and creamy cigar or in eggnog.
