Strong smoky smell and taste that reminds scottish whiskey. After a moment it turns back into agicole tones leaving oaky tail.
Had a sample of this, along with a varied assortment of others in the wine shop.
Has typical agricole notes, perhaps an inky note, and is pretty refined, and very drinkable, for its youth.
However, it has a perfume like vibe, which didn't really do it for me.
Definitely better than a 5, but certainly not something I would buy
I’m not sure why the low reviews of this rhum. It’s smooth with flavors of honey, caramel, toffee, and then the almost sweet grassiness of a rhum agricole.
Sampled at a Rhum JM tasting even in Austin. I found it smooth, earthy, smoky, but not grassy. Subtle gasoline on the palate (not bad). It had a warm finish. Too smoky to be a regular sipper for me, but not bad.
Nice color, good taste, and nice finish, good. 5/10
Aroma is full of grass and flowers. First taste is dry with wood and mineral tones. After comes slight burning and typical agricol tones appear (grass, fruits, apples) Aftertaste could be longer, but is pleasant with apples, nuts and wood on palate. Experienced rum lovers will enjoy it more than beginners.
This is absolutely not drinkable for me. I do not like the smell and the taste is even worse. Do not recommend it at all.
Nez intéressant, bon en bouche avec une belle finale longue.
