Vůně nějakého sladkého ovoce s troškou ,,zatuchlé trávy" a ředidla.
Chuť následuje vůni, sladkost ovoce, malinko zatuchlé trávy a ředidla.
Celkově krásný jemný rum.

Aroma: little bit of fruit, technical aroma... for me pure Jamaica.

Taste: slightly sweet notes, I think chocolate and maybe a slight hint of smokiness.

Overall: I have to be honest. With this rum, I only decided whether I liked it or not. And this rum is great (I'm happy for the whole bottle). If you have chance to try it... just do so.

Citrusová šťavnatost s příjemnými estery a technikou doprovázené sladkým dřevem. Baví mě hodně. V chuti podobně + další ovoce. Tohle je hodně na pohodu. Tohle by chtělo láhev. Je to jemná, perfektně vyladěná divočina do jemnosti. Mňam. No musím dát tomu 9. To se mi někdo trefil do chuti.

Appleton Distillery is located in the Nassau Valley village of St. Elizabeth, in the glorious and fertile heart of Jamaica, surrounded by mountains with an elevation of over 600 metres. Founded in 1655, Appleton Estate began producing rum in 1749, making it the longest continuously operating distillery in Jamaica. In 1981, Joy Spence joined Appleton as head chemist. At the time, the Master Blender was Owen Tulloch, who mentored Joy and awakened her passion for creating rum blends. When he retired in 1997, Joy was appointed as the new master blender. She became the first woman in history to hold this position.

The distillery has five Double Retort copper pot stills. She uses a three-column stainless steel distillation column to produce lighter rums. The rums are aged in #1 Select American White Oak barrels, the highest quality available.

This single cask was distilled in 2008 and aged for 14 years in a used bourbon barrel. It was bottled in 2022 at 59.3% cask strength.
