Light, simple, sweet and smooth. Different. Since I was a child, I love all about hazelnuts...

Jemny, sladky a velmi velmi orechovy (najma liesky). Jak aroma tak chut. Najprv som si to kupil len tak na sipovanie, nakoniec som to vyzral za dva veceri. Ale zaroven som sa toho prepil. Mozno si este kupim niekedy flasku, ked budem mat chut na orieskovo cokoladovy dezert v tekutej forme :D

Yeah, bananas and walnuts and earthy taste, quite sweet one. But depends on blend, this one was good.

Po prečítaní viacerých recenzií mi v zásade bolo jasné, čo môžem čakať, každopádne fľašku si obstarala moja polovička, pohárik-dva sa ušli aj mne. Rumovinka je balená vskutku svojsky a zaujímavo, čo je vzhľadom k cieľovej skupine už nevyhnutnosť (ľudia, ktorí sa rumom moc nerozumejú, zato sú príležitostne za "značku" ochotní zaplatiť aj vyššiu sumu). Vôňa je plná marcipánu, bielej čokolády, medu a kokosu. Chuťovo je relatívne sladký, hoci čakal som ešte silnejšiu cukrovú nálož. Sem sa už dostali aj výrazné lieskovo-orechové tóny, no žiaľ aj určitá umelinová pachuť, aj keď nie až tak silná ako u konkurenčných Don Papa, Bumbu a Demon's Share. Zo spomenutých je možno o prsia najlepší, tak či onak záver má veľmi krátky a vodnatý. Takže prakticky na 100% naplnil pôvodné očakávania. Čo však musím hodnotiť negatívne, je cena. Pod 40€ ho už bez nejakej extra zľavy ťažko zohnať. A to je kategória, kde sa dajú kúpiť viaceré naozaj kvalitné kúsky. Nič pre milovníka pravého rumu, pre "babské jazdy" ujde.

Trošku som si zaspomínal na Vianoce, keď som tento rum pil prvýkrát. Odvtedy som už ochutnal niekoľko ďalších rumov no pri poslednej príležitosti som si opäť uvedomil, že pre mňa je toto stále tá najlepšia voľba. Ani neviem prečo, ale oriešky v tomto rume robia tú čerešničku na torte, skvelá harmónia chutí.

A very full-flavored rum that is neither very strong nor very sweet. A universal taste that I can only recommend and will gladly return to.

Unaged rum from Mauritius

The age of this rum is not even 1 year. Mauritian vanilla is macerated in pure 95% distillate.
Bottle: Square with a seal around the neck. It has no packaging or tube! Nice shape, but the label is quite ordinary.
Color: Relatively light. Dark yellow came to me rather than amber. I think images on websites are deceptive.
Aroma: Very delicate and sweet. I didn't even smell alcohol in a freshly poured shot. Clear dominance of vanilla and banana + spices, which reminded me the most of cloves. I didn't feel the wood there.
Taste: Very delicate at first and quite sweet. Then the sweetness faded quickly and you could feel a little sharpness (alcohol + wood). However, this sharpness soon subsided and a slightly sweet softness remained. Again, there was a strong smell of vanilla, banana and almonds + spices, but not as with spiced rums. It reminded me of Bumbu Original, but it's less sweet.
Suitable for rum lovers who prefer softness and light sweetness. Nothing for those who like sharp to whiskey rums.
Important: Do not confuse with the Gold of Mauritius. This is a completely different rum.
