This Savanna Créol Straight comes from the 2018 harvest and was bottled in May 2019 after being distilled in the Savalle column at the distillery in Reunion. It’s a Brut de Colonne without any reduction limited to 1350 bottles.
The nose is fruity, spicy, vegetal and I recognize rubber and hints of licorice.
In mouth and on the palate it’s powerful, vegetal and sweet with tastes of rubber, licorice, mango and with hints of sage and basil.
The finish is quite long and goes on like on the palate with a metallic taste.
Overall a very special Agricole Blanc (in a good way) compared to the ones from the Caribbean.
