Plantation 2011 Single Cask Barbados Maury 10-Year

The delivered - France encapsulates cherries, grapes, mango, flowers, touch of tobacco, yota of salt+pepper - alchemistry of impressions and pleasure. Balance of lights and shadows. Infinite aftertaste.

Aroma is heavier with wood.
Taste is more on dry side, full of wood, spice complex and heavy. Aftertaste is long with a bit bitter ending (coming from the wine). Very nice experience - if you can, you should try it.

Raisins, cherry, coffee and orange zest in aroma; cocoa, nuts, dried fruit and berries and tobacco; honey cherry warming tail.

Výrazná vůně po koření, velmi příjemném sladkém dřevě a fortifikovaném víně (ořechy, koncentrovaná vůně sušeného ovoce). V chutí převládá obrovský vliv vína, ale je to příjemné, zase ořechy, káva, sušené ovoce. Mezí rumy sherry bomba, i když zrálo po likérovém víně Maury.

Aroma: aroma was great, actually one of the best. I noticed very intense smell of orange, raisins in combination with smokiness (and that is what I love).

Taste: dry fruit and some spices and also I noticed wood-ish flavor (really liked that one).

Overall: Very good rum but I have to say I would not pay 70 € for this bottle (thank God for those testing sets). Nevertheless I rocomend try this rum. Try another rums from Barbados to compare them with this one.

With only 4g/L a less sweet rum with a very rich palate and some wood and Fruity undertones. I very much like it
