Bologne Old Black Cane is like the name says made from black cane. It’s a blend aged between 3 and 6 years in French oak barrels that have previously contained cognac before bottled.
The nose is vegetal with lots of undertones but also spicy, sweet and fruity with hints of lime and orange.
In the mouth and at the palate it’s fruity and woody with some oiliness with hints of raisin and almonds.
The medium long finish goes on in the same way with tastes of lime and pepper.
Overall a good Agricole as all rum from the Bologne distillery is.
