Guyana | Aged | 56.7% ABV | Pot Still Distilled
El Dorado 2009 Port Mourant Cask Strength Single Still 12-Year is a premium Caribbean rum with a bold, intense flavor profile. Distilled from a single still at the Port Mourant distillery in Guyana, this cask strength rum has matured for twelve years in oak barrels, resulting in a rich and complex aroma of toasted oak, vanilla, and spices. On the palate, it delivers a powerful explosion of flavors with notes of dark chocolate, dried fruit, and smoky tobacco, followed by a long and smooth finish. This limited edition rum is ideal for sipping neat or appreciated with a few drops of water or ice.

Extremely good demerara rum here. The port mourant gives it an added depth and complexity, a bit of grassiness, that accentuates the molasses, dark fruit, etc flavors. Very well balanced.

Magnificent! Top of the world! 10 out of 10
I wish to have every rum 50+°. 40°? - the rubbish. So welcome El Dorado cask strength, single cask, still pot, almost 57°.
Absolutely seductive on the nose, just a bit of spirit, then fruity, licorice aroma.
Silky smooth, oily, tart, rich, funky, expressive. Detected: dark chocolate, prunes, dates, wood, touch of tobacco. I guess everything you would wish to get is in place in there.
Little burn straight at 57°, but there is close to nothing in 10min of breathing.
Virtually infinit aftertaste.
Definitely, one of the best from 180+ sorts I've tried.
Thanks Eldo Радость!
Edit: according to Canadian "scientists" it's 55.6°
